The Château’s Park

The immense domain in which the « Château de Chantilly » was built, within the forest and the ponds, became the ideal place to design an immense park

At the Grand Condé’s request, Le Notre, well known landscape designer of his time, designed alleys, the basins and the canals

One can sail on the canals crossing the Chateau’s park from side the side, itself surrounded by an immense moat. The woods are interspersed with statues decorating the forest’s clearings.

Stroll towards the charming "Hamlet" or in the English and Chinese Gardens.

A little train will take you to admire the hundred year old trees whilst warning with its little bell the forest's inhabitants; stags, does, roes and birds hidden in the bushes.
Walking in the alleys you will discover small chapels or Sylvie's House where La Fontaine would daydream, and where to this day sumptuous receptions take place.
